About Crusaders

West City Crusaders are now preparing for a big and exciting 2018-2019 Futsal season! Our association with Blacktown Spartans will continue to see the club grow.

West City Crusaders Futsal Club was first established in 2003, and was then known as the Colyton Crusaders, with only 7 teams. A small band of dedicated volunteers saw the need for a Futsal Club within the greater Penrith/Nepean areas of Western Sydney.

The Club secured the use of the Colyton High Schools main hall.

In 2003 the club hosted its first grassroots competition a combined U/6-7 age group, the club quickly outgrew the one court venue and with the help and advice from Football NSW, relocated deep into the Penrith heartland.

In 2005 the club secured the use of the Penrith City YMCA Complex, and with the move to the then brand new venue, it was decided to adopt the new club name West City Crusaders Futsal Club.

In 2008 the club was on the move again as the YMCA closed it’s playing courts to extend their gymnastic programs.

The club relocated to the refurbished 6 court Penrith Valley Region Sports Centre, Cambridge Park and to this day we still call home.

West City Crusaders Futsal Club have extended our player memberships to over 63 teams, from U/6 through to Open Men’s and Women’s teams. That’s nearly 567 players in grassroots competitions, 11 representative teams and 2 academy programs, with 120 players competing in the Football NSW Futsal Premier League.

We currently run programs at the Penrith PCYC, Hawkesbury University, Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre and the Emerton Leisure Centre.
We are always looking for new ways of engaging with the great community of western Sydney.
